RR stage - group gigs of Republika Rytmu's students

We believe that the biggest improvements in singing and in playing a musical instrument can be achieved through co-operation with others. Only then can young musicians learn to work with the rhythm section as well as playing and listening to the rest of the instruments, feeling comfortable on stage, working with acoustics as well as improvising e.g. on making a mistake. This is also a great occasion to affirm the purpose of working with a metronome both when playing solo and when playing in a group.

Step 1. Learning during individual lessons and group rehearsals in our rooms

We have created the "Republika Rytmu Stage" to enable our most ambitious students to take the next step in their musical development. During band rehearsals, under the watchful eye of the teacher, young musicians learn to work together incorporating the rhythm section, the use of the metronome and listening to each other while trying to maintain the same beat and vibe. Under the supervision of all our teachers they will have the opportunity to practise their improvisational skills.

Step 2. Cooperation with the band and acousticists during rehearsals on a professional stage

Then, after months of rehearsals they will have the opportunity to perform in front of a wider public. The Republika Rytmu Stage allows our students to perform several times a year in themed charity concerts on professional stages in several of Poznan's music clubs (Blue Note Jazz Club, Dylemat Cafe, Scena Wspólna Teatru Łejery and CSD among others).

Step 3. Performance in front of the audience

This is a reward for our most resilient and gifted students for their contribution and their improvements during private lessons, as well as a unique chance to gain firsthand experience of being on stage with professional equipment. On the one hand, during the concert students have the chance to demonstrate their skills in front of their family and friends, on the other hand they can learn about the tricks of the trade in regards to amplifiers, tuning as well as acoustics on stage.

During each concert we record audio tracks from a mixer, videos from several cameras and provide a photo coverage. On the page " RR scene - coverage " we include part of the above mentioned recordings.
