ENGLISH / POLSKI
We welcome students of all ages- children from the age of 8, adults as well as senior citizens- to our general singing course. Lessons take place in rooms acoustically adapted for voice emission, equipped with a piano, amplification equipment as well as mirrors which are useful in diction exercises.
Singing is usually done with the use of an accompanying instrument, usually a piano or with a backing track. Students are also prepped on how to work with a microphone as well as singing in a band. A repertoire of songs is chosen on the basis of the student's musical interests as well as their vocal predispositions. We help in the interpretation of chosen songs and we openly encourage student's own interpretations.
If you would like to record a song chosen by you on professional equipment we invite you to check out our studio offer.
The first stage of learning classical singing is to identify your voice type and range (soprano, mezzo-soprano, alto, baritone, base). The next stage is to identify its particular specifics (e.g. dramatic, coloratura, lyric soprano) as well as selecting appropriate vocal exercises for your voice type. During lessons apart from breathing (using the diaphragm) exercises and exercises to improve diction, the student will become familiar with how music is written and with solfège exercises. We put a big emphasis on exercises based on scales and exercises which broaden the vocal range as well as sculpting correct vocal emission.
The student's repertoire is selected on the basis of their musical interests as well as their musical predispositions. Singing is done with the use of a piano and/or with a backing track. We also prepare keen students to sing in a choir or band.
Voice emission lessons at Republika Rytmu are above all for people who use their voice in their professional life. We welcome those who would like to improve their vocal instrument in terms of range, emission and projection.
Voice emission lessons in Republika Rytmu are based primarily on exercises strengthening the work of the articulation mechanism as well as phonetic pronunciation. All exercises improving diction, voice emission, and moulding correct breathing (using the diaphragm) are performed in front of a mirror. An important element of the voice emission course is introducing the student to techniques for looking after their voice so that they can talk for a long time without feeling tired.
During lessons students work on a text chosen or approved by the teacher ( according to specific thematic needs). Within these texts we put emphasis on correct word stress in words and sentences, correct intonation and logical conveying of meaning as well as elements of non verbal communication.
Beatbox is the art of creating rhythmic sounds as well as imitating various instruments using your voice box. We can use beatbox to express our emotions and as a tool for interpreting music. Percussion forms the basis of beatbox but you could just as easily try to imitate the sound of a trumpet, trombone, bass guitar, bongos or scratching records. The only things you need are patience, commitment and above all else a desire to learn and succeed.
Anyone without exception can learn to beatbox. Age should not be a concern or a barrier. Lessons are enhanced with the use of games used by some of the best beatboxers in the world.
Enrolment for the course runs throughout the year. To begin with, we invite you to a trial lesson (70zl/60mins) with no obligation to continue, but which gives you the opportunity to get to know the teacher and familiarise yourself with the course programme.
All materials such as notes and course books needed for the course are provided by the school and the student doesn't incur any other costs other than the course fee.
